An Easy To Follow Guide

Put a system in place and followed religiously. Here is a checklist to help you ..


Daily: Leakage and cooking splashes on the counter, the stove and back splash on walls should be wiped clean. Choosing the commercially available cleaners such as Easy Off Bang, Mr Muscle, Dazzl, Cif or Bref. Or try a 50-50 vinegar-water solution, you can keep readymade in a bottle and use as needed. Don't forget to sweep under the cooker hood. Use a degreaser like Pril Act Fast or, if necessary. 

To clean up the burned debris on the stove, sprinkle salt and let it cool. Wipe with hot water and detergent. 

After each cooking session, all surfaces should be cleaned with a 50-50 mix of lemon juice and water. This helps remove bacteria and unpleasant odors. Keep this mix ready-to-use, in a bottle. Commercial preparations work equally well for cleaning surfaces. Kitchen cabinets, appliances and all knobs and handles should be cleaned with a damp cloth soaked in a multi-purpose household cleaner. They usually work on plastic, metal, laminate and glass surfaces, but read the instructions for use. Apart from the aforementioned surface cleaners, try Colin glass cleaner. Clean and dry stainless steel sinks and faucets after all, are done cooking. Pour a few drops of a citrus essential oil like lemon, lemongrass, citronella or tea tree in a spray bottle and fill with water. Spray after each cooking session for a refresh. Clean the floor swept and mopped twice daily with a disinfecting floor cleaner. You can try commercial brands such Lizol, Dazzl or Mr Muscle. Make sure you remove scraps more than two days old from the refrigerator. Recording and washing aprons and tea towels in hot water to remove stains and odors.

Weekly: Get your cooker, microwave and OTG cleaned inside and out. Place a solution of 2 tablespoons baking soda in a cup of water (in a heatproof bowl) in the oven. Heat on high for 5-10 minutes. Damp cloth walls, trays and racks it easy. To banish charred remains in the microwave or oven, identified five cloves, a half lemon and half cup water in a large ovenproof dish and bring to a boil. Let it sit until the water cools. Wipe the inside clean with a paper towel, leaving the door open to air out.

 Your refrigerator should be washed and disinfected with household detergent and try Essy-Off Bang Dazzl, Cif, Mr Muscle or Bref. You can also try a mixture of one cup baking soda, two cups of water and a tablespoon of lemon juice. Leave an open box of baking soda on the back of the refrigerator to absorb strong odors and simultaneously to use. 

The garbage should be cleaned using one cup of baking soda with water, or a good commercial cleaner.

Monthly: Hire a person to the hood and filters on your electric chimney cleaned on a monthly basis, it can be installed too high for your girl to reach, but, aos a must to keep them dust free. He may also want to dust the walls, ceiling, fans and lamps. 

Check your cabinets and drawers, re-line with new paper. 

Use a commercial de-blocked to unblock drains. You can try Kiwi Kleen Drainex or local brands. Or pour a cup of baking soda down each drain, top off with a cup of lemon juice (this will cause bubbling mix). 

Please help to scrub the floor and furniture and move. 

Tables, chairs and stools to clean-up. 

From your pantry, throw everything you, are unlikely to be used, and expired packaged food. 

For cleaning cutting boards, sprinkle some salt and vinegar and leave overnight Scrub with a 
stiff brush, and the increase in boiling water. 

Yearly: Please provide a pest control: easy to do within a few hours. You may be confined to the kitchen and bathrooms. 

Has the fire extinguisher and smoke detector checks.
